The Collaborative Innovation Center of Emerging Industries of Jiangxi Province is one of the first batch of “211” (“Project 211” is a project of national key universities and colleges initiated in 1995 by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China) collaborative innovation centers in Jiangxi Province. The center is led by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, the Prediction Science Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Jiangxi Provincial Industrial Information Commission, and jointly built by the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Jiangxi Provincial Statistics Bureau, the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Jiangxi Copper Group Corporation, and Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation Industry (Group) Co., Ltd.

The center consists of a data statistics processing department, a monitoring and early warning simulation department, a policy decision research department and a comprehensive office.

The construction goals of the center are:

(1) To form a mechanism of collaborative innovation. By means of the discipline advantages of JUFE, the technological advantages of the Forecasting Science Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the information advantages of the Jiangxi Provincial Industry and Information Commission, we will integrate resources of all parties, accelerate the reform of the innovative mechanism, and form a new model and paradigm of collaborative innovation in industrial research.

(2) To build a monitoring, forewarning and decision support platform for industrial development. Through the establishment of an industrial development data platform, an industrial development monitoring platform, an industrial development forewarning platform and an industrial policy simulation platform, a strategic emerging industry development monitoring, forewarning and decision support system will be built to provide data and intellectual support for government and corporate’s decision-making, and for the safe development of the industry.

(3) To track the development of strategic emerging industries. Through long-term tracking of industrial development, the development monitoring report of the ten strategic emerging industries in Jiangxi Province will be released every six months, and the industrial policy simulation analysis report will also be provided. At the same time, the prospective theoretical research and applied research of the industry will be carried out to yield high-quality original theoretical results and a batch of practical application results, to promote the steady and rapid development of the industry.

(4) To cultivate high-level talents for strategic emerging industries research and industrial decision-making. Gather and train a group of top-notch talents in industrial economic theory research and applied research, and policy analysis to form a core base for domestic industrial economic research.
