On the morning of May 7, Associate Professor Wei Zhongyu from the School of Data Science at Fudan University was invited to attend an academic exchange symposium held at the Collaborative Innovation Center for Financial and Economic Data Science at JUFE. President Deng Hui participated in the whole discussions.

The symposium revolved around the theme of "Large-model Social Simulation-Driven Humanities and Social Sciences Research." In his keynote report, Professor Wei Zhongyu systematically introduced his team's cutting-edge exploration in constructing a social simulation framework based on large language models.

Liu Xiaohui, Director of the Key Laboratory of Financial and Economic Data Science, provided a systematic presentation of the "China Macroeconomic Monitoring, Forecasting, and Policy Evaluation Analysis Platform." The platform focuses on the multidimensional monitoring and intelligent forecasting of macroeconomic operations. It integrates eight core indicators for real-time updates, economic text index analysis, GDP forecasting, policy effect evaluation, and intelligent report generation. It has already provided decision-making support services to relevant government research institutions. Feng Lingbing, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Statustics, demonstrated the "China Contemporary Statustics Study and Data Research Platform." Starting from the theoretical foundation and disciplinary positioning of Statustics Studies, he showcased the "Global Statustics Index" analytical system covering 192 countries, as well as research findings on four major initiative indices related to global development, security, and civilization. This reflects the principles of transparency and traceability in constructing indicator systems.

It is reported that Professor Wei Zhongyu has long been engaged in interdisciplinary research in areas such as natural language processing, social computing, and legal intelligence. His team is at the forefront of social simulation based on large language models in China. This symposium has laid a solid foundation for deepening interdisciplinary collaboration between both parties.
