To further implement the “Million Talents Gathering in South Guangdong” Initiative, on the afternoon of March 31, Liu Zhigang, Vice Mayor of the Jiangmen Municipal’s Government of Guangdong Province, led a delegation to visit JUFE. The two sides held a symposium on deepening university-local cooperation, advancing talent supply-demand alignment, and organizing dedicated recruitment activities. Prior to the symposium, Liu Yaobin, Chairmanof JUFE, met cordially with the delegation.
Liu Yaobin extended a warm welcome to Liu Zhigang and his delegation. He stated that Jiangmen, as the “Hometown of Overseas Chinese” and an important node city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, enjoys prominent location advantages, a solid industrial foundation, and significant development potential. Currently in a critical stage of accelerating high-quality development, Jiangmen is a dynamic city that is both livable and conducive to business development. JUFE has consistently regarded serving national and regional development as its core mission, and has established a multi-tiered and wide-ranging social service system, contributing the “JUFE Wisdom.” It is hoped that both sides will further strengthen cooperation, establish a long-term mechanism for regular exchanges, and realize complementary advantages, coordinated development, and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Yuan Honglin, Vice President of JUFE, attended and presided over the symposium. He noted that, according to statistics, JUFE currently has 125 registered alumni in Jiangmen, who are making contributions across various sectors and serving as an important link connecting JUFE and the city. The visit of Vice Mayor Liu Zhigang and his delegation to conduct exchanges and recruitment activities has not only provided a high-quality employment platform for JUFE’s students, but also opened a new chapter in deepening university-local cooperation.
Yuan Honglin briefly introduced JUFE’s development history and distinctive educational features, with a focus on the three major development strategies currently being implemented and the “three-three system” disciplinary layout. He stated that JUFE has extensive experience in serving local development and supporting talent cultivation, and will fully support the Jiangmen recruitment delegation’s visit to JUFE on April 18, providing comprehensive guarantees for university-local cooperation.

Liu Zhigang expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception and strong support provided by JUFE. He noted that JUFE possesses strong educational capabilities and a high quality of talent cultivation, enjoying a sound reputation both in Guangdong Province and nationwide. In particular, it has cultivated a large number of outstanding professionals in the fields of economics and management, finance, and accounting. He expressed the hope that JUFE would provide greater support to Jiangmen in areas such as talent cultivation, technical services, and resource alignment, so as to promote deeper and more substantive university-local cooperation. Liu Zhigang emphasized that Jiangmen is home to a large number of high-quality foreign trade enterprises, and that its industrial development has a strong demand for professionals of various disciplines. The city will further tap into local industrial resources, carefully select high-quality positions, and provide more high-quality and well-matched employment opportunities for students of JUFE.
Guo Haifeng, Director of the Admissions and Employment Office of JUFE, provided a detailed introduction to the scale of the 2026 graduating cohort, the distribution of academic majors, employment intentions, as well as the recruitment activities conducted by Jiangmen-based enterprises at JUFE over the past five years and the employment of JUFE’s graduates in Jiangmen. Wen Li, Director of the Jiangmen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, introduced the preparations for the dedicated recruitment event to be held at JUFE. Chen Zhimei, Director of the Jiangmen Municipal Talent Development Bureau, stated that further efforts will be made to precisely align with JUFE’s talent cultivation directions, select more high-quality positions that meet graduates’ needs, and enhance the effectiveness of recruitment activities.

The symposium further clarified the direction and priorities of university-local cooperation, established a bridge for talent supply-demand matching, and laid a solid foundation for both sides to carry out regular and in-depth cooperation in the future. Responsible persons from relevant departments and units, including the Office of Domestic Cooperation, the Student Career Development and Employment Promotion Center, the School of Business Administration, and the School of Accounting, attended the symposium.
