Deng Hui Leads Delegation to Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology for Exchange, Deepening University-Government Cooperation to Boost AI Industry Development

Onthe afternoon of February 26th, JUFEPresidentDeng Hui and Vice President Fang Yuming led a delegation to theJiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technologyfor a discussion and exchange with ChairmanandDirector Ying Jiong of the Provincial Department. Both sides engagedin in-depth discussions on deepening university-governmentcooperation and jointly promoting innovative development in the fieldof artificial intelligence, reaching a consensus on cooperationregarding key areas of work.

PresidentDeng Hui, on behalf of JUFE,expressedgratitude to the Provincial Department for its long-term support ofJUFE'sdevelopment. He introduced recent achievements in disciplinarydevelopment, talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, andsocial services. He stated that JUFEis currently focusing on the theme of the "Discipline InnovationYear," deeply implementing the "AI+" action plan, andadvancing the educational reform empowered by artificialintelligence. He hoped the Provincial Department would support JUFEin three key areas: firstly, jointly establishing the "JiangxiProvincial Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center" with theGanjiang New Area Administrative Committee and promoting theformation of the Jiangxi Provincial AI Alliance; secondly,establishing a "School of Technology and Business" to builda platform for transforming scientific and technological achievementsand empowering industries; and thirdly, conducting embodied AIresearch, exploring applications of human-machine collaboration andintelligent robotics in fields like manufacturing and healthcare, andpromoting key technology breakthroughs and industrial implementation.

DirectorYing Jiong welcomed President Deng Hui and his delegation, fullyacknowledging JUFE'sproactive efforts in aligning with industrial needs and serving localeconomic development. He stated that the Provincial Department placeshigh importance on the development of emerging industries such asartificial intelligence and supports universities in playing agreater role in areas like technological innovation, platformconstruction, and talent cultivation. Regarding the three key workproposals put forward by JUFE,the Provincial Department expressed its willingness to provide activesupport in areas such as platform application, policy support,industry-education integration, and pilot demonstrations. The aim isto facilitate the swiftimplementationand tangible results of university-enterprise-governmentcollaborative projects, collectively contributing to the high-qualitydevelopment of Jiangxi's industry.

Bothparties agreed to use this exchange as an opportunity to establish aregular communication mechanism, deepen practical cooperation infields such as artificial intelligence, technological innovation, andindustrial empowerment, and jointly strive to create a new model ofuniversity-government partnership.
