University-Local Collaboration Gathers Strength to Write a New Chapter in Development

On the afternoon of January 7, a warm and consensus-filled atmosphere pervaded the Beijing Advanced Research Institute of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. A cooperation discussion meeting was held between JUFE and the International Economic and Technological Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "MIIT International Cooperation Center"). The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on specialized research areas such as forecasting key macroeconomic and international trade indicators and supporting the overseas expansion of industrial enterprises, reaching cooperation intentions and laying a solid foundation for university-local collaboration in serving national strategies and empowering industrial development.


Attending the discussion were Zhang Qiang, Deputy Director of the MIIT International Cooperation Center; Guo Chenglong, Director of the Economic and Trade Research Institute; Song Heng, Director of the Industrial Foreign Trade Research Office of the Economic and Trade Research Institute; Liu Jian, Dean of the School of International Economics and Politics at JUFE; Wang Shubai, Vice Dean of the School; Feng Lingbing, Deputy Director of the National Situation Research Institute; and Wang Zhonglie, Head of the Beijing Advanced Research Institute.


During the meeting, JUFE team highlighted the achievements and application advantages of the university’s National Situation Data Platform and Macroeconomic Forecasting Data Platform. Leveraging the university’s profound research foundation in economics and extensive data resources, the two platforms offer strong technical support and practical value in monitoring macroeconomic operations and analyzing trends in key industries. Liu Jian emphasized JUFE’s commitment to leveraging its disciplinary strengths to serve national and local development. He expressed hope that the data platforms would serve as a bridge to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with the MIIT International Cooperation Center, enabling resource complementarity and synergistic advantages in specialized fields.


Zhang Qiang commended Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics for its capabilities in data platform development and economic research. He noted that amid profound adjustments in the global economic landscape, industrial enterprises venturing overseas face new opportunities and challenges, making intellectual support and data resources from universities increasingly essential. As a key platform for promoting international cooperation in the industrial and information technology sectors, the MIIT International Cooperation Center is eager to collaborate with universities on specialized research to provide scientific references for policy formulation and industrial practices.


The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on core cooperation topics, agreeing to conduct joint research in key areas based on the two major data platforms of JUFE. They also reached preliminary agreements on establishing a cooperation framework, innovating collaboration methods, forming research teams, setting phased cooperation objectives, and defining specific task divisions. Through joint platform development and resource sharing, the two parties will deepen and solidify their collaboration, jointly creating a model example of university-local collaborative innovation.


The successful convening of this discussion marks a promising start to deepened cooperation between the two sides. The Beijing Advanced Research Institute of JUFE will fully leverage its role as a bridge to ensure the effective implementation of cooperation intentions, thereby enhancing JUFE’s discipline development and scientific research innovation.
