On December 23, the Jiangxi Provincial Archives Bureau issued the Notice on Recognizing the Archives Office of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics as a High-Level Digital Archives Office of Jiangxi Province, formally recognizing JUFE's Archives Office as a "High-Level Digital Archives Office of Jiangxi Province." This makes JUFE the first university in Jiangxi Province to receive this high-level digital archives designation following the issuance of the Measures for Promoting the Construction of Digital Archives Offices in Government Agencies (Trial) (Document No. 7 [2024]) by the National Archives Administration of China. Consequently, JUFE has become the only university in the province to concurrently hold both the title of "Provincial Special-Class Unit for Standardized Archives Management" and "High-Level Digital Archives Office of Jiangxi Province."

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, JUFE integrated digital archives office construction into its overall informatization development plan. It coordinated the advancement of infrastructure, application systems, digital resources, sharing and utilization, and security assurance systems, establishing a comprehensive digital archives management system covering the entire workflow of "collection, management, preservation, and use." Adhering to the principle of "digitizing existing holdings and managing new records electronically," the Archives Management Center formulated and implemented a digitization plan for traditional archives based on collection characteristics and user needs. This effort continuously increased the digitization rate of existing holdings and comprehensively promoted the electronic archiving of new records. To date, JUFE's archive digitization rate has reached 92%. Successful integration has been achieved with systems such as the OA system, procurement platform, and e-signature system, enabling the online archiving of electronic documents and providing convenient remote access and online borrowing services for faculty, students, and alumni.

Taking this recognition as a new starting point, the Archives Management Center will continue to optimize system functionalities, deepen the integration with business systems for online archiving, actively explore and apply new technologies like artificial intelligence in archives management, and comprehensively elevate the level of the JUFE's archival informatization.

It is reported that in recent years, the National Archives Administration has actively responded to the Digital China strategy by vigorously promoting the construction of digital archives offices, gradually establishing relevant standard systems and pilot promotion mechanisms. In December 2024, the National Archives Administration issued the Measures for Promoting the Construction of Digital Archives Offices in Government Agencies (Trial), providing further systematic planning and scientific guidance for the construction and management of digital archives offices, thereby assisting government agencies in achieving the digital transformation and upgrading of their archival work.
