From November 20 to 22, the Overseas Education School organized the "Experiencing China" social practice and cultural experience activity for the Chinese Government Scholarship Summer School program. Vice Dean Li Qing and 35 Vietnamese students participated in the event. The international students visited Wuyuan and Jingdezhen. Through field trips and interactive experiences, they gained an in-depth understanding of Chinese rural culture, intangible cultural heritage skills, and ceramic art. They immersed themselves in the profound heritage and modern vitality of traditional Chinese culture.

In Jiangwan Ancient Village, the students toured Huizhou-style ancient architectural complexes. They listened to explanations of clan history and folk customs, touching the cultural fabric of traditional Chinese rural life. The scenery of small bridges and flowing water and white walls with black tiles in Likeng Ancient Village captivated the students. They frequently used their cameras to capture the ecological beauty of harmonious coexistence between humans and the natural environment. At the Moon Bay scenic area, students took a boat ride. Amid the sunset glow, they contemplated the traditional cultural wisdom of "harmony between heaven and humanity." At the Wuyuan Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Center, the students personally participated in the entire process of tea picking and making. They learned traditional tea ceremony etiquette, watched tea art performances, and deepened their understanding of the spiritual core of Chinese tea culture: "purity, tranquility, harmony, and elegance."

At the Jingdezhen Ceramic Group (China Top Porcelain Exhibition Hall), the students experienced handmade billet making and porcelain plate painting under professional guidance. From kneading clay and wheel throwing to outlining patterns, they completed their own exclusive ceramic works by hand. This process gave them a profound appreciation for the essence of the "craftsman spirit." The Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue was brilliantly lit. The students strolled through the creative spaces transformed from old factory buildings, feeling the innovative integration of traditional ceramic techniques with modern design. They also visited the Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Museum and the Fuliang Ancient County Government. There, they witnessed the millennium-old tradition of wood-fired kilns and learned about the complete ceramic production process. By examining ancient administrative architecture and systems, they enhanced their understanding of China's ancient governance culture.

The "Experiencing China" activity is a crucial component of oJUFE's international student cultivation work. It not only allows students to immerse themselves in the diverse charm of traditional Chinese culture but also deepens their understanding of Chinese society and culture. This lays a foundation for cultivating international talents who are knowledgeable about and friendly toward China. The Overseas Education School will continue to enrich social practice and cultural experience activities for international students. It aims to expand exchange platforms and promote Sino-foreign educational cooperation and cultural exchanges to deeper levels and broader fields.
