On the afternoon of November 29, the 9th International Culture Festival, themed "Appreciating the Charm of Each Culture, Sharing the Beauty of All," was successfully held at JUFE. Hosted by JUFE and organized by the Overseas Education School and the School of Foreign Languages, the event was attended by Vice President Yuan Honglin, who delivered a speech. Leaders from relevant functional departments and schools, faculty and student representatives, and international students from around the world gathered together for this cross-cultural rendezvous. The festival atracted over 2,000 Chinese and international teachers and students from more than 50 countries, who immersed themselves in the joyful collision and blending of diverse civilizations.
At the opening ceremony, Yuan Honglin extended a warm welcome to all guests, faculty, and students. He pointed out that JUFE is sounding the bugle for its "third pioneering endeavor," focusing on digitalization, green development, and internationalization to build a high-level research-oriented university. JUFE consistently treats international student education as a vital component of its educational opening-up strategy. Leveraging its strengths in finance and economics, JUFE tailors cultivation programs that combine professional depth with cultural richness for international students. These programs help students gain core knowledge, decode the logic of China's economy, and grasp global cooperation trends. Yuan Honglin emphasized that the International Culture Festival adheres to the principle of "appreciating the charm of each culture, sharing the beauty of all." This year's event featured students from over 50 countries performing alongside Chinese students and 18 cultural exhibition booths operating simultaneously. It served as both a dialogue between civilizations and a communion of hearts. He expressed his hope that Chinese and international teachers and students would use this event as a medium to integrate JUFE's financial wisdom with the cultural essence of various nations. This would contribute to educational opening-up, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the building of a global community of shared future. He concluded by wishing the event a complete success.

Chams, an international student representative from Morocco, began his speech with the Chinese proverb, "A bosom friend afar brings a distant land near." He shared his experiences of studying and exploring in China. He described the festival venue as a "mini United Nations," where people from different nationalities share a common pursuit of knowledge and friendship. Chams stated that the International Culture Festival serves as an important bridge for cultural exchange. He encouraged everyone to step out of their comfort zones, sample foreign cuisines, participate in featured activities, and enhance mutual understanding through interaction. He called on students to grow from youths into global citizens and forge profound friendships together.
International student representatives wearing their national costumes took to the stage for a fashion show. The colorful traditional attire and spirited demeanor instantly ignited the atmosphere, officially kicking off the festival. The subsequent performances were dazzling and filled with highlights, which pushed the atmosphere to its peak.
The international exhibition booths on both sides of the stage were bustling with crowds. Chinese and international students, dressed in ethnic attire, showcased their countries' unique customs and cultural heritage through various means. These included presenting characteristic foods, displaying handicrafts, organizing interactive games, and sharing cultural knowledge. Teachers and students moved among the booths, sampling foreign delicacies, admiring exquisite handicrafts, and participating in fun folk games. They experienced the cultural charm of different countries in an immersive environment. University leaders and guests strolled through the area, chatting cordially with international students. They learned about different cultural features in detail and personally tried out folk activities, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.

As dusk fell, the 9th International Culture Festival concluded amidst a cheerful vibe. Chinese and international teachers and students lingered, taking photos to capture the beautiful memories. Since its inception in 2013, the JUFE International Culture Festival has been successfully held for nine consecutive years. It has evolved from initial cultural displays to in-depth interactions, and from simple performances to diverse immersive experiences. It has gradually become a distinguished name card for JUFE's international student education. This year's festival retained classic elements from previous editions while incorporating new creative forms. It allowed different civilizations to meet, understand, and integrate on the JUFE campus. The event not only broadened the international horizons of teachers and students but also strengthened the bridge of friendship between China and other countries. It injected fresh cross-cultural vitality into JUFE's new journey of its "third pioneering endeavor."
