From October 6th to 10th, Song Changlong, a faculty member from the School of Design and Art, was invited to Belarus. There, he visited the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts and Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, and attended the International Academic Symposium on "International Cultural Communication".

This symposium brought together leading experts from prestigious universities and institutions, including Moscow State Linguistic University, the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus. Scholars engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics such as innovating talent cultivation models, reforming teaching methodologies, and the international dissemination of cultural spaces. Together, they explored innovative pathways for higher education and cultural inheritance within the context of globalization.

During the symposium, a comparative study of the "China Long March National Cultural Park" and "Belarus' Memorial Spaces of the Great Patriotic War" became a key focus for scholars from both sides. This topic moved beyond simple cultural comparison, delving deeply into the underlying mechanisms of how different civilizations utilize concrete spatial narratives to preserve national memory and shape collective identity. It not only provided fresh academic perspectives on the preservation and utilization of cultural heritage for both China and Belarus but also, on a theoretical level, underscored the importance of understanding and respecting each other's historical narratives in the process of building a "community with a shared future for mankind".

Simultaneously, the discussions on "promoting cultural exchanges between sister cities through reform and innovation" offered insightful proposals for implementing regional international cooperation. Professor Song Changlong, leveraging Jiangxi Province's solid foundation of 110 international sister-city pairs, proposed systematic innovations in mechanisms, content, and platforms. His ideas, particularly the conception of using digital and metaverse technologies to create new scenarios for cultural exchange, highlighted the broad prospects and immense potential for people-to-people exchanges in the post-pandemic era.

Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics' participation in this high-level international academic dialogue fully demonstrates JUFE’s strong emphasis on internationalization and interdisciplinary research, aligned with the development of "New Liberal Arts". By actively building this "Silk Road" of academic exchange, JUFE is continuously honing and elevating its disciplinary strengths and local cultural characteristics within a broader international context.

Looking ahead, JUFE will continue to uphold an open and inclusive approach, deepening practical cooperation with institutions of higher learning in countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative. Through mutual learning among civilizations, JUFE aims to draw wisdom, cultivate high-quality talents with a global vision, and contribute more "JUFE strength" to promoting the prosperous development of regional cultural economies.
