The 2025 Alumni Culture Festival was held on the morning of October 2nd in the auditorium of the Jiaoqiao Campus. Over 900 alumni from 37 classes of the graduating years 1981, 1991, 2001, and 2011 returned to their alma mater. Attending the event were Chairman of the University Council Liu Yaobin, President Deng Hui, Vice Presidents Que Shandong, Yuan Honglin, Li Chungen, He Danjun, and Xie Hualin. Also present were leaders from relevant functional departments and schools, representatives of former class advisors and faculty, as well as alumni representatives from various years. The gathering was hosted by Li Chungen.

During the event, 39 individuals were honored as the second group of "Most Dedicated Former Class Monitors". Liu Yaobin and Deng Hui jointly presented award plaques to these honorees. They thanked the former monitors and secretaries for their active roles in uniting class spirits and contributing to JUFE's development.

On behalf of all faculty, staff, and students, President Deng Hui extended a warm welcome and sincere greetings to every Jufer returning "home" from across the globe. He stated that JUFE is vigorously embarking on its "Third Endeavor," with high-quality development at its core. Pursuing the "Double First-Class" initiative is regarded as the deepest expression of affection and the most significant empowerment for its alumni. Over the past year, JUFE's development has accelerated. President Deng Hui detailed a series of achievements to the alumni. He also set new expectations for the high-quality development of alumni work. He hopes the relationship between JUFE and its alumni will evolve from a "ties of alma mater" to a "partnership." This will make their bond closer and their collaboration tighter, jointly building a community for shared development.

Vice President Que Shandong presented donation certificates to class representatives who participated in the "Jufers Donation Tree-Planting" project. He thanked the classes for their micro-donations to the alma mater. The "Jufers Grove" is not only a testament to the shared growth of alumni and JUFE but also a symbol of the enduring JUFE spirit passed down through generations.

While hosting, Li Chungen noted that the gathering of over 900 alumni during the National Day holiday added a profound sentiment for both home and country, as well as a watchful eye on tradition. He mentioned that it has become an unspoken tacit understanding among the JUFE community for university leaders, functional department staff, and school faculty to remain on campus during this time each year, quietly awaiting the return of alumni.

Zhao Dongsheng, an alumnus from the Accounting Class of 1991, shared his career journey fondly. "Once a Jufer, always a Jufer in heart," he said. "The energy my alma mater gave me is like an invisible balance sheet, appreciating in value over time."

Professor Wu Zhijun, speaking as a faculty representative, said that alumni acquired not only professional knowledge at JUFE but also cultivated the spiritual character of "Honesty, Vitality, Integrity, and Tenacity," along with a future-oriented vision and a sense of responsibility. He hopes alumni will join hands and advance shoulder to shoulder to collectively create new glories for both JUFE's progress and alumni development.

Dong Dahong, an alumnus from the Foreign Trade Economics Class of 1981, spoke as a representative of the honored "Most Dedicated Former Class Monitors." He recalled class camaraderie, thanked JUFE for its cultivation and the opportunities of the era, and expressed his commitment to continue contributing to the development of his class, alumni organizations, and his alma mater.

To express gratitude for the faculty's hard work, alumni presented flowers to representatives of their former class advisors and teachers. This heartwarming scene was not only a sincere return for the teachers' past efforts but also allowed everyone present to relive the beautiful memories of their campus days.

The Alumni Culture Festival also featured a special medley of campus songs performed by alumni representatives from different eras, tracing the changes through time. Current undergraduate students presented wonderful artistic performances. All attendees concluded by singing "Ode to the Motherland," expressing wishes for Chna's prosperity.

After the gathering, alumni proceeded to the canteen for lunch, savoring the flavors of JUFE. They retraced their steps along familiar campus paths and renewed friendships.

In the afternoon, various schools held alumni symposiums, and returning classes organized diverse collective activities. The annual Alumni Culture Festival and Homecoming Gathering transforms the interaction between JUFE and its alumni from moments of moved feeling into sustained action, and from occasional occurrences into regular practice. It deepens the roots of alumni culture and continuously contributes alumni strength to JUFE's "Third Endeavor."
