Guests from Arizona State University and Washington Howard University, USA

On 26 May, Mr. Steve Anderson, Professor of department of social work, School of Public Management, Arizona state university and Dr. Liu Meirong, Associate Professor of School of Social Work, Washington Howard University were invited to visit JUFE and gave lectures.
During the visit, Mr.Jiang Jingfa, Vice President of JUFE met with Prof. Steve Anderson and Dr. Liu Meirong and discussed the possibility of cooperation between JUFE and Arizona State University, USA, Washington Howard University, USA. Meanwhile, the two guests paid a visit to the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of Humanities and discussed with the two departments about exchanging teachers and students, translating textbooks and academic works. Mr. Chen Jiaqi, Professor and Director of social work and social management research center attended the meeting.
In the afternoon on 26th May, Dr. Liu MeiRong gave a lecture entitled “Family and Child Welfare designed in the US", clarifying the American Family and Child Welfare policy and the evolution history of the project, and giving in-depth analysis on the four aspects: women, infants,children's nutritional supplements: WIC policy, temporary assistance for needy family .
In the evening on 26th May, Professor Steve Anderson gave a lecture entitled “Social Work Education in the U.S " and explained the title from the following aspects: the history of United States Social Work; the value ethics of Social Work; the job fields of American Social workers ,etc. In the end, Professor Steve Anderson also summarized the rules of the development of social work.
The whole faculties of Social Science Department of School of Humanities with the undergraduates and postgraduate students attended the lectures. The two professional lectures developed the students' horizons, deepened the students understanding of sociological development rule, and provided a different prospect for a comprehensive understanding of global social work.
