Professor Yi Jiandong attended the 3rd International Forum on Sport for Peace and Development

From June 5 to 6, 2013, Mr. Yi Jiandong , Professor and Vice President of JUFE, who is a visiting scholar in Columbia University participated in the 3rd International Forum on Sport for Peace and Development in the UN headquarters, New York.?
The forum was hosted jointly by the United Nations, the International Olympic Committee, the United States Olympic Committee. Hundreds of participants from the United Nations, the International Olympic Committee, the national and regional Olympic Committee around the world and other related sports organizations took part in the Forum. Mr. Ban ki-moon, General Secretary of United Nations and Mr. Jacques rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee also attended the Forum and made a speech.
Professor Yi attended the discussion and made a speech in the Forum concerning the issue of sports promoting to tolerate the social problems and ways of solution of the social problems. He also talked with Mr. Yu Zaiqing, Former Vice President of China Sports Bureau, current member of the International Olympic Committee and took group pictures with Mr. Wu Jinguo who would attend the election campaign for the next President of the International Olympic Committee, Mr. Huang Simian, Mr. Bach and Mr. Bubka who were the members of the International Olympic Committee.
