Dr. Tang Yong from University of Illinois visited JUFE

In the afternoon on 13 June, Dr. Tang Yong, assistant professor of University of Illinois visited JUFE and gave a lecture in the school of Humanities, accompanied by Mr. Ren Jianghua, a journalist from THE PEOPLE DAILY’S Jiangxi bureau. The whole faculties and students of the school of Humanities attended the lecture, which was hosted by Mr.Zhou Yongwen, Dean of the school of Humanities, JUFE.

Dr. Tang Yong made the lecture from four aspects: the experience of himself, sharing the works, the contrast of media of China and the United States, for questions .During the lecture, Dr. Tang shared the important pictures with the audients which were shot in America when he was on assignment for newspaper. Meanwhile, he compared the media of China and the United States, further analyzed the career orientation of a journalist, news’ ideas and skills. In his lecture, the audience was interested in many issues. Dr. Tang answered one by one patiently.
Mr.Zou Yongwen, Dean of School of Humanities summarized in the end and put forward the news lines of development of the school and reform direction in the future. The whole lecture atmosphere was relaxed and happy, opened up the teachers and students’ views, and offered a different perspective of a comprehensive understanding of journalism.
