Famous French Jurist Prof. Grimaldi Michel from Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II Visited JUFE during Oct. 18th to 19th, under the invitation of School of Law. Prof. Grimaldi Michel gave an academic lecture entitled "change in the French law of contract" and conducted other academic activities as well.

Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II is renowned for its law disciplines and is described as the No. 1 law higher learning institution, and it has cultivated lots of outstanding legal, economic and political talents. Prof. Grimaldi is one of the most influential contemporary jurists in France, is now the academic committee member, dean of civil law section, dean of notary law Master program, director of political and legal science postgraduate training and research department, director of the center for the study of family and property law at Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II; former chairman of Henry Carnby Tang Law Culture Association and current honorary chairman, chairman of Civil Law Foundation Academic Committee.

On 19th, Vice President Jiang Jingfa met with Prof. Grimaldi at the University Guest Hall. VP Jiang briefly introduced our university and the current internationalization status. He expressed the wish of establishing international cooperation with Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II. Prof. Grimaldi expressed the wish to establish deirect cooperation relations with JUFE in law disciplines on behalf of Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris II. They agreed that Dr. Zeng Rongxin of School of Law will be responsible for the starting work of the cooperation programs under the instruction of the related higher departments of the two universities. Director of Office of Cooperation and Exchange Cai Shenggui, Dean of School of Law Deng Hui and other staff attended the meeting and other activities.
