Students from School of Arts Won Good Awards in 2012 Famous Furniture Design Competition

In March, the Award Ceremony of the “2012 Famous Furniture Design Competition” hosted by Famous Furniture Fair (Dongguan) was held in Dongguan Famous Furniture Exhibition Hall. The students’ homework for the Industrial Design Major Course “Ergonomics” taught by Han Ji’an attended this competition. Five of the homework were selected into the top ten design products. “Firstborn” designed by Chen Bingru won the only Golden Award. “Floating Eggshell” designed by Gu Wei won the fourth prize and “Table and Chair” designed by Han Lijun won the fifth prize, both won the Bronze Award. “Dream” designed by Yang Fukai won the seventh prize and “Growing Up Partner” designed by Deng Xiang won the eighth prize.
The course “Ergonomics” sets the theme of the “Famous Furniture Design Competition” as homework theme since year 2008. Students’ innovation was greatly aroused. The students’ design products won the Golden Award of the Competition in both year 2010 and 2012. JUFE has been awarded with “Excellent Organization Award” for four years.
