I. Overview
The School of Public Finance and Public Administration can be traced back to the Department of Public Finance and Credit, founded by Jiangxi Provincial Business School in 1923. With years of development, the school has become a teaching and research institution which integrates talent cultivation, scientific research, social service, and cultural inheritance. The school was once honored as a model unit in Jiangxi education systems and in JUFE for six consecutive years.
II. Setup of Organizations
The school boasts four teaching departments, including the Department of Public Finance, the Department of Taxation, the Department of Social Security, and the Department of Public Administration. Additionally, several teaching, research, and training organizations were established with the help of the school, such as the Jiangxi Collaborative Innovation Center of Decision Support for Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Respects, Research Center of Public Finance, Research Center of Chinese Tax Stamps, Research Center of Budget Management and Supervision, Research Center of Social Governance in the New Era, Research Center of Social Security, Master of Public Administration (MPA) Education Center, Master of Taxation (MT) Education Center and Civil Servants Training Center.
III. Faculty
The school has a faculty pool of 66, with 57 full-time teachers and 100 off-campus instructors for the practical application of concepts. Among the full-time teachers, there are 49 teachers with doctorates, 26 professors, 15 doctoral supervisors, and 56 master supervisors. Meanwhile, 27 teachers hold titles and awards, including Vice Chairman of the Teaching Steering Committee in Finance of the Ministry of Education, Talent of the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education, Expert with the Special Government Allowances of the State Council (or Provincial Government), Candidate of the Jiangxi Talents 555 Project”, Candidate of the “Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project” in Jiangxi Province, the Young Teacher Award of Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation, Jiangxi Provincial Famous Teacher, and Young and Middle-aged Academic Leader of Higher Education Institutions in Jiangxi Province.

V. Research Achievements
In the past five years, more than 80 papers have been published in authoritative journals and over 200 academic papers in CSSCI, more than 50 of which were indexed to EI and reprinted by the top three Information Centers for Social Science. The school’s faculty members have accomplished more than 50 projects at national, provincial, and ministerial levels and 40-plus projects (including four major projects and two key projects sponsored by the National Social Science Foundation of China) are currently being carried out. 20 of our achievements made in scientific research were recognized by both the state and provincial governments. In addition, the school has made great efforts to build three high-end academic forums including Shanggong Forum, Qinglan Forum and Xiangjiang Public Management Forum, and to invite numerous famous scholars to give lectures every year. It regularly publishes Ganjiang Finance and Taxation Forum, Public Economics and Management Review, Gongdao MPA, and Reference for Decision-making of Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Respects, so asto build influential professional journals and think tanks in China.
VI. International Cooperation and Exchange
The school has built partnerships with several universities both at home and abroad, including: Ritsumeikan University in Japan, Florida State University in the USA, Western Washington University in the USA, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and the Education University of Hong Kong.
