JUFE has been Certified by the UNWTO TedQual

JUFE has been officially notified of its successful attainment of the UNWTO TedQual International Certification on November 25. This accomplishment marks JUFE as the only university in Jiangxi Province to receive this distinguished honor.

The UNWTO TedQual Certification System, conferred by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), is the most authoritative and influential international quality certification in the field of global tourism education. It aims to evaluate and certify the teaching quality, curriculum systems, academic research, and international collaboration of educational programs in tourism, hospitality, and events worldwide. Renowned for its rigorous standards and comprehensive audit process, the TedQual Certification has become a core benchmark for measuring the educational quality of top-tier tourism institutions globally.

The School of Business Administration commenced preparations for the international certification of its Tourism Management program in 2023, formally submitting the application in January 2024. The process involved multiple stages, including preliminary program review, self-assessment report compilation, submission of supporting evidence, and an online expert review, culminating in the final certification site visit on April 2, 2025. Throughout this endeavor, the team compiled over 400,000 words of reports and supporting documentation and convened more than 20 exchange and coordination meetings. The certification work also received immense support and assistance from JUFE’s leadership, the Academic Affairs Office, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, various other university functional departments, as well as relevant government agencies, industry associations, enterprises, and alumni.

This certification serves as a new starting point for JUFE. We will continuously benchmark against the UNWTO TedQual system and, in line with the practical context of our disciplinary development, fully integrate the standards and principles of international certification into all aspects of teaching, research, and management. We are committed to further deepening the development of our undergraduate programs in Tourism Management and comprehensively enhancing the level of internationalization and the quality of talent cultivation.
