Jiangxi's First! JUFE Secures "Silk Road" Chinese Government Scholarship Program

Recently, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) issued the Notice on Approving Enrollment Quotas for the 2025/2026 Academic Year "Silk Road" Chinese Government Scholarship Program. Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) has successfully obtained 20 postgraduate enrollment quotas (including master's and doctoral programs) for its High-Level Finance and Management Master's Program for Belt and Road Partner Countries. Covering disciplines such as International Trade, Economics (Digital Economy), Finance, Public Administration, and Statistics, JUFE becomes the sole awardee in Jiangxi Province and marks its first-ever doctoral program approval under this initiative. Both the quota size and academic tier set new records, underscoring JUFE's recognized contributions to serving the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and enhancing international education quality.

The "Silk Road" Chinese Government Scholarship Program, established by the Ministry of Education to implement national strategies including the Vision and Actions on Jointly Building the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road and the Belt and Road Education Action Plan, aims to cultivate industry leaders and skilled professionals for BRI countries. Priority areas include green development, digital economy, AI, energy, taxation, finance, disaster mitigation, and education. Since its initial approval in 2018, JUFE has maintained annual master's program enrollment rights. This year, through strengthened collaboration with domestic "going-global" enterprises like Jiangxi International Economic & Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd. and Huajian Group, JUFE achieved a 286% increase in quotas compared to 2024.

In recent years, JUFE has prioritized international student education. This approval not only injects momentum into the university's digital, green, and international development goals but also accelerates its transformation into a world-class research university, top-tier digital economy institution, and benchmark for serving Jiangxi Province.
