Recently, The 3rd National Digital Trade All-around Skills Competition for College Students (Digital Trade Innovation and Entrepreneurship Track) was successfully held at Zhejiang University. In the national finals, a total of 310 teams from 159 universities participated across four tracks. The Digital Trade Innovation and Entrepreneurship Track featured 90 teams competing. The team "Though Thousands" consisted of five students: Chen Qiyu, Xiao Wanlin, and Gao Yuke from the School of Finance, Gao Lin from the School of International Economics and Politics, and Jiang Wenjie from the School of Business Administration, under the guidance of Associate Professor Song Huilin, Deputy Director of the E-commerce Department of the School of International Economics and Politics. They won the second prize in this track.
The Competition, organized by the China Academy of Digital Trade, Zhejiang University and hosted by the National Digital Trade All-around Skills Competition Committee, lasts for six months. This year's competition has 527 participating universities and 16,569 registered participants, divided into seven major competition zones. The competition consists of three stages: online competition, regional competitions, and the national finals. Since early April, our School of International Economics and Politics has actively mobilized students to form teams for registration, with over ten teams participating in the preliminary round. After the online preliminary competition, three teams advanced to the East China regional competition, which took place on July 20 at the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics. Following presentations, reports, and defense sessions, the team "Though Thousands" won the first prize in the East China region and advanced to the national finals, while two other teams secured the second prize in the East China region.
In addition to the competition segment, this event also hosted a series of high-end supporting activities, including a talent matchmaking event for cross-border e-commerce and a shared digital trade conference. JUFE's faculty and student team actively participated in the exchange activities of the Third Global Digital Trade Expo, gaining firsthand insights into cutting-edge technologies in the field of digital trade. This not only broadened their industry perspective and enriched their knowledge base but also allowed them to deeply appreciate the significant achievements China has made in the digital economy, particularly in the digital trade.
