Create a New History for Chinese Bodybuilding! Outstanding Alumnus Zheng Shaozhong Wins Gold Medal Again at the 78th IFBB World Man’s Bodybuilding Championships

From September 23 to 27, at the 2024 78th IFBB World Man’s Bodybuilding Championships held in Kish Island, Iran, outstanding alumnus Zheng Shaozhong, as a key member of the Chinese national bodybuilding team, competed in the Classic Bodybuilding 171cm category, successfully defending his gold medal and also clinching the gold medal in the Traditional Bodybuilding 70kg category.

The competition welcomed over 1,000 athletes from 70 countries and regions. On the first day of the World Bodybuilding Championship, Zheng Shaozhong boldly claimed the gold medal in the men's classic bodybuilding category for the height group of 171 cm, successfully defending his title. On the second day of competition, he won the championship in the traditional bodybuilding 70 kg category, once again breaking new ground in the history of Chinese bodybuilding on the international stage. He became the first triathlon world champion in the history of the championships, excelling in men's physique, classic bodybuilding, and traditional bodybuilding. Additionally, representing the national team, he has participated in the World Championships eight times, earning six gold medals in individual events, one overall championship gold medal, and two silver medals. He has become the athlete with the most gold and medal counts for China in the World Bodybuilding Championships, creating history for Chinese fitness and bodybuilding and bringing glory to China.
