Prof . Sihua Chen wins best paper award at international conference


 

On 2 July, the 2024 Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems,PACIS was successfully held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The research result Frequency or Severity of Punishment, Which Affects the Safety Performance More : An Experimental Investigation by Prof. Sihua Chen's team from School of Information Management was awarded the Best Paper Award of AIS-SIG-ISAP. won the Best Paper Award of AIS-SIG-ISAP.

 


This paper is one of a series of research results of Professor Chen Sihua's National Natural Science Foundation of China Joint Key Project: Research on Drivers' Fitness for Duty, Behavioural Decision-making and Monitoring and Warning Methods for Train Set Drivers. It explores the design boundaries of institutional punishment, investigates the effects of punishment frequency and punishment severity on safety performance, and analyses the moderating effect of goal orientation on these relationships.
