International Academic Seminar on Modern Statistics and Financial Data Science Held at JUFE

On the morning of June 20th, the International Academic Seminar on Modern Statistics and Financial Data Science, jointly organized by JUFE and Chonnam National University in South Korea, as well as the 3rd Joint Seminar between JUFE and Chonnam National University, was held at JUFE. Vice President Yuan Honglin welcomed a delegation of scholars from Chonnam National University and other universities in South Korea. The conference was attended by experts and scholars from JUFE, Chonnam National University, University of California, Davis, Victoria University of Wellington, and many other universities.




Ping WeiyingDean of the School of Statistics and Data Science, warmly welcomes the participants who have come from afar. Ping briefly introduced the basic situation of the School of Statistics and Data Science to the experts and scholars present, including abundant educational resources, remarkable achievements in talent cultivation, and a strong academic atmosphere, fully showcasing the advantages and strength of JUFE.



In the first half report, experts and scholars Jangsun Baek, Jiming Jiang, Jaesik Jeong, Kwangmin Lee, Chuanquan Li presented reports titled Latest Developments in Model-Based Cluster Analysis, Pseudo-Bayesian Classification Hybrid Model Prediction, Multiple Testing of Unilateral Hypotheses with Conservative Zero Values, Bayesian Inference of Multivariate Probability Test Models with Potential Envelopes, and Generalized Trajectory Regression with Non-Convex Nuclear Norm and Two-Dimensional Spline Lasso.



During the conference, participants engaged in in-depth discussions surrounding their respective research achievements and the latest academic advancements, facilitating the collision of academic ideas and providing valuable insights and suggestions for future academic development, promoting innovation and progress in statistics and financial data science.
