JUFE Hosted the First Nanchang Universities Table Tennis Friendship Tournament

From April 13th to 14th, JUFE hosted the first Nanchang Universities Table Tennis Friendship Tournament 2024, with nearly 300 players from 19 registered universities, including Nanchang University, Jiangxi Normal University, Donghua University of Science and Technology, Jiangxi Normal University of Science and Technology and so on.

On the morning of 13th, the tournament started at the indoor stadium of Jiaoqiao Campus of JUFE. Xing Xiaoming, Secretary of Party Committee of International College, Ouyang Ying, Secretary of Party Committee of School of Sports, Wang Hao, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the JUFE, Song Junqing, Director of the News Department of Jiangxi Education Television, Shi Gangze, Senior Reporter of Jiangxi Daily, Jiang Hui, Secretary of the JUFE Table Tennis Association, and the representatives of the athletes and the umpires from the universities attended the opening ceremony and Wang Hao delivered an opening speech.

Wang Hao welcomed the players and pointed out that the launching of the first Nanchang Colleges Table Tennis Friendship Tournament was a key step to build a platform for exchanging and learning between students of various colleges. He encouraged the students to take this tournament as an opportunity to carry forward the spirit of sports, stimulate the potential of youth, and fully show the youthful style of Jiangxi young students in the new era.

The competition was divided into team competition and individual competition. In the end, Nanchang University Team 1, Nanchang University Team 2, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics Team 1 ranked the top three in the team competition.

Liu Yixuan from Nanchang Institute of Technology was the champion of the individual competition, Xia Saihu from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and Chen Jun from Nanchang University were the runner-up and the third runner-up respectively.

This friendly table tennis tournament for colleges and universities builds a platform for mutual communication and interaction, aiming to drive more young college students to establish sports awareness and participate in sports activities.
