On April 10th, the School of Business Administration received notification from the Secretariat of the United Nations Global Compact regarding its official approval to join the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative organization and become a signatory member of the United Nations PRME.

PRME, as an international initiative organization supported by the United Nations Global Compact, was initiated in 2007 by representatives of sixty global deans, university presidents, top business schools, and academic research institutions. It was formally established at the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit in the same year. PRME advocates for integrating the globally shared values of responsible management into higher education curriculum, teaching, and research. It encourages and supports global research on responsible management education to promote the full understanding and practice of social responsibility frameworks in future business management. As a voluntary initiative, PRME has evolved into the closest organizational relationship between the United Nations and global business schools. Currently, nearly 900 higher education institutions in business and management from 99 countries worldwide have signed the PRME principles. This includes renowned universities such as Cornell University, the University of Oxford, Tsinghua University, and the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). These institutions cover over 300,000 faculty members and 4 million students, and have established 17 regional networks globally. The PRME Steering Committee includes organizations such as the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), the Association of MBAs (AMBA), CEEMAN, and CLADEA.

The School of Business & Administration's official membership in the United Nations PRME initiative organization marks a significant milestone, signifying international recognition for the School of Business & Administration in areas such as education for sustainable development, social responsibility, and leadership. The School of Business & Administration will collaborate with nearly 900 global members to share and explore research and practices in responsible management education, promoting high-quality development in the international education field. This opportunity will also enable the School of Business & Administration to strengthen cooperation and exchange with top international educational institutions, continuously enhancing its reputation and influence on the global education platform.
