Integration and Innovation: International Conference on Language Services and Regional Studies in the Digital Age Held at JUFE

On October 22nd, jointly sponsored by JUFE and Danubius University in Romania, organized by the School of Foreign Languages, the Jiangxi Foreign Language Society, the National and Regional Language Strategy Research Center of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, and co-organized by Yanxing International Education and other institutions, the Integration and Innovation: International Conference on Language Services and Regional Studies in the Digital Age was held at JUFE. More than 120 experts, scholars, domestic and foreign teachers and researchers from 15 countries participated in this grand event. Professor Chen Shifa, Vice President of JUFE, Professor Steve O. Michael, President of Danube University in Romania, Professor Tang Bin, Vice President of Jiangxi Foreign Language Society, Professor Chen Sihua, Director of Office of Scientific Research of JUFE, Professor Zhang Xifeng of school Foreign Languages of JUFE, Ms. Zhang Xiaoyan from Yanxing International, and Director Shao Jinglu from FLTRP attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Du Jingping, Vice dean of the School of Foreign Languages.

At the opening ceremony, Chen Shifa warmly welcomed the Chinese and foreign experts and scholars attending the conference on behalf of JUFE, and briefly introduced JUFE's educational history, recent development, achievements, and outstanding contributions. He stated that this conference will focus on language services in the digital age and regional and national research. He looks forward to in-depth discussions around the topic, collision of ideas, and contribution of insightful insights by experts in the academic presentation segment. He hopes that experts from both domestic and foreign countries can continue to support the development of JUFE and carry out more in-depth cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, international cooperation, and other fields in all aspects and at multiple levels.

Steve O. Michael briefly introduced the history of Danubius University in Romania in his speech. He expressed great gratitude for our generous invitation and also wished JUFE a complete success in its centenary celebration. He also welcome all experts and scholars present to Europe and Danubius University in Romania for visits, exchanges, and cooperation.

Tang Bin congratulated JUFE on its 100th anniversary in her speech. She expressed that Jiangxi Foreign Language Society is willing to provide more academic exchange platforms for teachers, students, and scholars in Jiangxi, and work together to contribute to the high-quality development of foreign language teaching in Jiangxi Province.

At the closing ceremony, Zhang Xifeng and Steve O.Michael, on behalf of the conference, expressed sincere gratitude to the attending leaders, experts, scholars, teachers, students, and staff at home and abroad. They expressed that the academic exchange at this international conference has brought great benefits to the attendees and will further promote the development of language services and regional and national research, bringing JUFE's teaching and research work in line with the international forefront.
