Tianjin Alumni Association Inaugural Conference Held

On September 16th, the inaugural conference of the Tianjin Alumni Association of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, along with the first session of the representative conference, was held in Tianjin. Wang Qiao, former chairman of JUFE and President of the Alumni Association, Yuan Xiong, Vice President of JUFE and Executive Vice President of the Alumni Association, Zhang Jun, former chairman and Dean of Xiamen National School of Accountancy, Qin Rongsheng, Party Secretary and Dean of Beijing National School of Accountancy, Peng Yuan, president of Jiangxi Tourism and Commerce Vocational College, officials from the Alumni Liaison Service Center, and over 170 alumni located in Tianjin attended the conference.

Wang Qiao presented the Alumni Home plaque to Wang Huizhong.

Yuan Xiong pointed out in his speech that the establishment of the Tianjin Alumni Association at this significant time, just before the upcoming centennial celebration of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, holds great significance. Yuan Xiong emphasized that alumni are a splendid business card for the university and an inexhaustible driving force for its development, and the alma mater will always be a spiritual home for the alumni. He introduced two important flags that embody the spirit of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics: the national flag that was raised in Tiananmen Square on October 28, 2022, gifted to our university by the Tiananmen Regional Management Committee, and the university flag carried by alumnus Deng Chao to Mount Everest. Yuan Xiong invited Tianjin alumni to return to the university to witness its centennial celebration.

Director of the Alumni Liaison Service Center and Secretary-General of the Alumni Association, Xia Xianfeng, read out the reply approving the establishment of the Tianjin Alumni Association of JUFE. Wang Qiao presented appointment letters to the first president, Wang Huizhong, Chairman of Tianjin Jinxiu Real Estate Investment Co., Ltd., the executive president, Wang Wei, Chairman of Tianjin Dinghua Metal Packaging Products Co., Ltd., and 7 vice presidents, and presented a congratulatory gift on behalf of the Alumni Association. Alumni branches from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shenzhen, Sichuan, Jinan, Hubei, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Qingdao, and more than ten brother alumni associations such as Nanchang University and Dalian Maritime University in Tianjin attended the conference to offer congratulations and present gifts as well.

Wang Huizhong introduced the preparations and the next steps of the Tianjin Alumni Association, stating that they will adhere to JUFE motto, fulfill their duties, and continue to promote and uphold the spirit of the alma mater. They will fully leverage the advantages of two major platforms ：alumni resources and  Jiangxi Chamber of Commerce in Tianjin to provide excellent services for the alumni. They will actively contribute to the development of the university.

Deng Chao, Vice President of the Guangdong Alumni Association, shared a congratulatory message on behalf of the local alumni associations and shared his challenging experience of climbing Mount Everest with JUFE flag and upholding the spirit of the motto Honesty, Vitality, Integrity, and Tenacity at the world's third pole.

The Tianjin Alumni Association of JUFE is the 26th provincial-level alumni branch of the university and the 111th alumni branch. In 1984, JUFE began its first enrollment in Tianjin and has gradually expanded its enrollment scale in it over the past 40 years. The establishment of the Tianjin Alumni Association is a gift to the 100th anniversary of the university in 2023.
