Food Economics Professional Committee of the Chinese Agricultural Economics Association and the 2021 China Food Economic Management Forum Held by JUFE

On November 13, the s Professional Committee of Food Economy, the Chinese Association of Agricultural Economics and the 2021 China Food Economy Management Forum co-hosted by the Food Economy Professional Committee of the Chinese Agricultural Economics Association and JUFE and co-organized by the School of Economics, China Agricultural and Rural Modernization Research Institute, and Institute of Ecological Economics was held online, and the theme of the forum was The Mission and Challenges of China's Food System in the New Situation. The opening ceremony was attended by Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the Chinese Association of Agricultural Economics and Director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Researcher Yuan Longjiang, and JUFE Vice President Yuan Honglin, who delivered speeches respectively, and presided over by Professor Zhou Yingheng, Dean of the China Agricultural and Rural Modernization Research Institute of JUFE. The forum was divided into two halves in the morning and afternoon. It attracted nearly 600 experts and scholars.

In his speech, Yuan Longjiang pointed out that the forum’s focus was on issues such as rural revitalization and food system supply-side reform, national food nutrition and health in the post-poverty era, food system and international coordination in the dual-cycle pattern, economic analysis of China’s food system, food and healthy economic development, and in-depth exchanges and discussions. He also wished the forum a success.

Yuan Honglin introduced the basic situation of JUFE, emphasizing that food safety is related to the health and life safety of our people and the future of the Chinese nation, and expressing that the theme of the forum highly meets the needs of the times and grasps the forefront of the development of the new era.
