The Opening Ceremony Of 2020 International Business Master's Program Of The Ministry Of Commerce Held at JUFE

Recently, the online opening ceremony of the 2020 International Business Master's Program hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by JUFE was held on Jiaoqiao Campus. President Deng Hui and Deputy Dean of the Academy for International Business Officials of the Ministry of Commerce Chen Runyun attended the ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. Ha Yu, Director of the Project Management Division I of the AIBO, Wang Qian, Representative of the Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe, Zheng Shuchao, Representative of the Commercial Office of the Embassy in Nigeria, Xiao Long, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of JUFE, Luo Shihua, Dean of the Graduate School, Ye Weihua, Dean of Overseas Education College, and 30 master's students from 20 countries and regions also attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Wu Chaoyang, Dean of the School of International Trade and Economics.

On behalf of JUFE, Prof. Deng Hui expressed his gratitude to the AIBO of the Ministry of Commerce for its long-term support for the development of our internationalization and the training of international business talents. He also expressed his warm welcome and congratulations to all the Class 2020 masters who successfully passed the selection and admission. Prof. Deng Hui introduced JUFE’s history and its characteristics of cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial talents with Honesty, Vitality, Integrity and Tenacity and draw a blueprint of building an internationally renowned university of finance and economics with a solid foundation and distinctive characteristics. Finally, he expressed sincere hopes to all the freshmen studying in China. First, everyone can cherish this opportunity of learning and exchange, study hard in the next two years, graduate successfully, and leave a good memory; second, the pandemic would end one day thus students would have the opportunity to come to JUFE, visit China, and gain a in-depth understanding of the real China; third, everyone respects each other’s culture and beliefs, establishes a lasting friendship, tells the world the real China, and most importantly, work together to build a bridge linking the people of all countries.

Chen Runyun, on behalf of the Ministry of Commerce and the AIBO, extended sincere greetings to the 2020 freshmen and their families, friends, and governments who support them to study in China, and expressed thanks to the organizer, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. Chen Runyun pointed out that given this extraordinary year of profound changes and the pandemic situation, the international community urgently needs to work together to address many common challenges. As the largest developing country in the world, China upholds the concept of peaceful development, mutual benefit and win-win principle, and is unremittingly committed to promoting the cooperation and common development of all countries in the world and building a community with a shared future for mankind. He also encouraged the students to cherish the precious opportunities of exchange and study at JUFE, and make contributions to world peace and development together with China.

Mr. Koroma Prince Momoh from Sierra Leone and Ms. Jessika Christophe from The Bahamas spoke in turn as representatives of the 2020 freshmen. If you are planning for a year, sow rice. If you are planning for a decade, plant trees, if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people, revealing the importance of education to the overall development of the individual and to the progress of society. At the same time, they thanked the Ministry of Commerce and JUFE for offering them these valuable opportunities, and expressed that they would take good advantage of that.

​Since September 2008, JUFE has undertaken training programs for business officials from developing countries. Over the past 13 years, the School of International Trade and Economics has completed 19 short-term training programs covering the topics like financial risk, financial management, teacher training, steel enterprise management, advanced financial management, and budgeting. The themes of the training programs are gradually diversified: from a single financial management to a new system with financial management as the core, and taking into account government budgets and advanced financial management.

In 2015, JUFE became the only training unit in Jiangxi Province to undertake degree programs. 129 students from 28 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America have been awarded a master's degree in international business. Affected by the global pandemic, the 2020 international business master's program was carried out online in early September 2021; the 2021 class will start in September 2022.
