Professor Chen Chengwen Contributes a Lot to Social Governance

Recently, Professor Chen Chengwen, director of the Research Center for Jiangxi Social Governance in the New Era and doctoral supervisor of JUFE, published an article titled Action Logic and Thinking Turn of Social Governance in a City Area in the 6th issue of Gansu Social Sciences, which was reproduced in Xinhua Digest and Chinese Social Science Digest.

Professor Chen has been engaged in research on social governance for many years. His research topics mainly include urban and rural grassroots social governance, municipal social governance, and social organization. Relying on the platform of the Research Center for Jiangxi Social Governance in the New Era and the research team, Professor Chen has established research bases in Pingxiang City, Jingdezhen City, and Ji’an City, and has undertaken a number of projects authorized by the Jiangxi provincial and municipal political and law commissions. He has carried out a number of investigations in more than 60 counties and districts in Jiangxi, and has achieved influential research results, which provides the decision-making support for Jiangxi Province to promote the modernization of the social governance system and capabilities.
