I. Overview

The MBA Education School of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics was granted the right to run the MBA program in 1997 and the EMBA program in 2009, which made it the first one in Jiangxi to enroll MBA students and the only one to recruit EMBA students. Since 2019, it has worked together with the School of Business Administration as one unit while keeping its identity. At present, the school owns EMBA, MBA, International MBA (JUFE and NYIT) and EDP programs and has trained nearly 20,000 students.

 

II. Faculty

The school boasts 107 faculty members, including 87 full-time teachers, 24 professors, 36 associate professors, 17 doctoral supervisors and 67 master supervisors. The proportion of teachers with doctoral degree reaches 75% and those who have overseas study and exchange experience account for 52% of the total. Additionally, it has three guest foreign professors and 106 off-campus supervisors.

 

III. Programs

1. MBA

(1) Talent Cultivation Goals: This program aims to build high-end business education in China and cultivate entrepreneurial management elites who are familiar with Chinese management modes and modern management theories.

(2)Talent Cultivation Features: With the purpose of establishing entrepreneurial ecosystem, the school persists in educating students with the  management wisdom in the eastern countries and encouraging them to start up business.

2. EMBA

(1) Talent Cultivation Goals: This program aims to serve local economic development and cultivate high-caliber talents in growth-type enterprises with pioneering spirit, management skills, humane accomplishment and sense of responsibility.

(2) Talent Cultivation Features: The school strives to combine the essence of international and Chinese management ideas and gather excellent alumni to build a resource sharing platform.

3. International MBA(JUFE and NYIT)

(1) Talent Cultivation Goals: This program aims to cultivate management elites with an international vision who are able to master the cutting-edge management knowledge and methods as well as have strong leadership and innovation ability.

(2) Talent Cultivation Features: To promote the coordinated development of students’ knowledge, abilities, morality and personality, the school makes full use of the education resources from JUFE and NYIT as well as continuously improves the talent training plan and teaching and management mechanism, so as to provide students with a solid platform to enhance their learning capacity, practical ability and innovative spirit and broaden their international vision.

IV. Talent Cultivation Achievements

1. Graduate Cultivation

In the past three years, the school has enrolled 671 students for MBA program, 36 for EMBA program, and 360 for International MBA program.

2. Outstanding Alumni

(1) Chen Min studied the China-Australia MBA program of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in 2007 and currently serves as the Deputy Secretary of Yingtan Municipal Party Committee as well as the Mayor and Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group of Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province.

(2) Zheng Jianrong studied MBA at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in 2003 and now acts as the Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and Director of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and the Office Director of the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone.

(3) Xia Wenxiang graduated from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics with a bachelor's degree in international accounting in 2008 and then studied MBA program in the same school in 2011.Currently, he is a chief clerk of the Property Insurance Supervision Department of Jiangxi Banking and Insurance Regulatory Bureau. On April 28, 2020, he was awarded the honorary title of National Outstanding Youth.

(4) Li Songdian studied EMBA in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in 2011. At present, he serves as the Deputy Mayor of Nanchang Municipal Government in Jiangxi Province and the Member of the Leading Party Members Group.

(5) Zhang Anhua participated in the EMBA program in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in 2010 and currently acts as the chairman of Jiangxi Zhongjie Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. On September 2, 2019, he was invited to attend the 11th National Congress of Members hosted by the Red Cross Society of China and met with General Secretary Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People.

(6) Qiu Xiaolin studied at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics for the international MBA program. Currently, he holds the post of legal representative and chairman of Nanchang Institute of Technology. He was awarded the commemorative medal of Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China jointly issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission.

(7) Zuo Jisheng studied EMBA at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in 2010 and served as the Deputy Mayor of Ji'an Municipal People's Government in Jiangxi Province. Now, he assumes the office of the Deputy Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Jiangxi Province.

VI. Teaching and Research Achievements

The school has successfully undertaken 33 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 25 (including one major bidding project and one key project) by the National Social Science Foundation of China. In the past five years, 42 monographs, 36 textbooks, and nearly 300 Chinese and English papers have been published and some research results have received positive remarks by leaders of Jiangxi province. At present, the school contains one national excellent course, one national excellent resource-sharing course, one national excellent open video course, one national excellent open online course and 18 provincial excellent courses. Additionally, 16 cases of Jiangxi enterprises published in Harvard Business Publishing and Ivey Publishing were awarded as “China’s Top 100 Selected Management Cases”, which places the school at the top of the list in not only Jiangxi province but also China. The teaching achievements around the cases have won the first prize at the provincial level twice.
