JUFE Delegation Visited Universities in Poland and Spain

    Prof. Jiang Jinfa, the vice-president of JUFE and his delegations were invited to visit and complete the visiting mission in Cracow University of Economics and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Spain from 20th to 27th November 2016. Jiang Hongren, the secretary of party committee of the School of Modern Economics and Management, and Ji Xiaogang, the sub-librarian of the Library went along with the academic visit.

 

    Cracow University of Economics has a long-term cooperative relationship with JUFE. During the short visit, delegates had a good communication with counterparts: Aleksy Pocztowski, vice-president of Cracow University of Economics, Agnieszka Nawrocka, Administrator of Foreign Affairs Office, Agnieszka Novak, Deputy Administrator of International Project Office, and Prof. David Clowes from School of Economics in deep cooperation among teaching staffs and students between our two universities. JUFE and Cracow University of Economics should seize the opportunity of “the Belt and Road Initiatives” of China and enhance the cooperation in education, scientific research and student exchange programs. For instance, student exchange, short-term projects, and help overseas students to apply the allowance from China Scholarship Council. JUFE and Cracow University of Economics should strength the cooperation among teacher staffs as well: exchange teachers and experts to give lectures, exchange teachers who are interested in cooperative research for the economics and financial policy between China and the European Union, declare the international cooperation projects of Chinese ministry of commerce and the European Union, and strengthen the communication in library resources and graphic information aspects. 

 

    During the visit in Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, the delegation led by Prof. Jiang Jinfa had a conference with Jose Maria Alvarez Monzoncillo, the vice-president of Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Pablo Tomas Salvadores Alonso, Administrator of International Relationship Affairs, Jose Lgnacio Fernandez Nuevo, the Director of International Development Department, and Lin Zhe, from the Simone Calvano campus. It is learned that there are over 100 students who are learning Chinese Mandarin and about to establish a Confucius Institute. The delegation showed positive support for students exchange to learn Chinese Mandarin in JUFE. Spain is an important country of “the Belt and Road Initiatives”, and Spanish is an important language of the process. The two universities had deep talks about strengthening opportunities for exchange students in Chinese Mandarin major, and exchanging teachers to teach language and professional business courses. JUFE and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos reached consensus to apply the international cooperation projects of Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the European Union by exchanging teaching staffs for lectures and cooperative research.

 

    Prof. Jiang Jinfa warmly invited relevant directors to JUFE for cooperative communication during the visit. This visit laid a foundation for the future cooperation with these two universities.

1. Cracow University of Economics, founded in 1925, was one of the earliest founded three universities. The library in Cracow University of Economics has more than 80 years history and also has the largest book collections in Cracow. The library not only serves for universities and students, but also has effects for education and science popularization. Cracow University of Economics has near 20 students’ organization. The most influencing organizations are: Office of Student Autonomy, Independent Student Association, the national Youth Federation, and Poland Tourism Association PTTK.

   

2. Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, located in Madrid, Spain, was founded in 1996. This university could provide high quality education, excellent academic and scientific research. In fact, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos tried to challenge the coming 21st century by its promoting intelligence development, cutting-edge research of modern technology, professional economics and society research development. Universidad Rey Juan Carlos has four campus in Southern Madrid. Engineering, Environment, Tour Guide, Law and Sociology of Bilingual Teaching are the main majors of Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
