Vice Dean of University of Strathclyde Visited JUFE

On March 9th, David Hillier, the vice-dean of University of Strathclyde visited JUFE on invitation along with Lu Maozu, the dean of Chinese School. JUFE’s president Wang Qiao met with them accompanied by Wang Xiaoping, the vice president and the director of OICE.

 

Wang Qiao said that since the cooperative relation was built in 2013, the frequent exchange of leaders-level has laid a good foundation for friendly cooperation of both sides on different programs. Each year, JUFE dispatches over 20 students to University of Strathclyde through 2+2, 3+1 programs and master degree program. Wang Qiao also made the hope that teachers from both universities could increase the interactive exchanges and implement scientific researches.

 

David Hillier also expressed his gratitude for being invited to visit JUFE the first time. He said, JUFE is an important partner in China and they attach great importance to the cooperation with JUFE. They will accept 2 teachers of JUFE as visiting scholars this year. In addition, both sides are considering to establish scientific research institutions jointly. He will lead a delegation to visit JUFE in this September.

 

During the visit, the guests also met with the director of School of Accountancy, School of Information Technology, School of Tourism and Urban Management and School of Foreign Languages.
