The Opening Ceremony of the 4th Traditional Culture Festival was held

On 9th of April, the 4th traditional culture festival was held at JUFE. Yi Xiaoming, vice chairman of the board  attended the ceremony.

In the opening ceremony, the audience could enjoy different performances, including a traditional costume show, a traditional etiquette show, a Taichi show, a Gongfu show, and many other shows. Besides, audiences could learn more about ethnic cultures through ethnic custom performances and a quiz on ethnic knowledge. As the representative of an ethnic minority, She yun fei gave a speech in the ceremony. He expressed his gratitude to his teachers and schoolmates for their selfless assistance and deep affection.

After the opening ceremony, Yi Xiaoming visited each exhibition area held by each school. When he heard the explanation on different folk customs during the Spring Festival, he said, since Chinese culture varies from western culture; therefore, one should strive to include more traditional Chinese characteristics into productions. In the Shoton festival exhibition area, he inquired about the meaning of the related handicrafts, and he also expressed his affection to the calligraphy of the Tibetan language.

The audience was very enthusiastic to watch different performances of different ethnic groups, to appreciate the traditional handicrafts, traditional calligraphy and paintings, and also to participate in many kinds of games and contests.
