Recently, Dr. Tang Shengfang, a young faculty member of the School of Finance, and Professor Jiang Chonghui have made important progress in the field of econometric methods for policy evaluation. Their joint research results were published in the domestically recognized A-class journal Statistical Research (Issue 7, 2026) and the authoritative journal The Journal of Quantitative & Technological Economics (Issue 9, 2026).

On the methodological front of policy evaluation, Dr. Tang Shengfang, and Professor Jiang Chonghui of JUFE, together with Dr. Zhan Mingfeng of Capital University of Economics and Business, and Dr. Jiang Qingshan of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, co-authored the paper "An Effective Estimation Method for Policy Effects Based on the Difference-in-Differences Model and Its Application".

In terms of identifying and estimating heterogeneous policy effects, the paper "Identification and Estimation of Heterogeneous Policy Effects under the Difference-in-Differences Model," co-authored by Dr. Tang Shengfang and Professor Jiang Chonghui of JUFE and Dr. Jiang Qingshan of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, proposes a new functional causal effect parameter — the partial conditional average treatment effect for the treated group — aiming to fully and comprehensively characterize the heterogeneous effects of policy interventions on subgroups with different characteristics.
