The 2nd JMC Meeting of Griffith Digital Intelligence School Held at JUFE

On the morning of September 18, the 2nd Meeting of the Joint Management Committee of Griffith Digital IntelligenceSchool JUFE was convened. Marnie Watson, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) of Griffith University, attended the meeting online. Rosalind Archer, Academic Dean of the Faculty of Science, Alan Liew, Dean ofthe School of Information and Communication Technology, and Zhang Dan, Marketing Director of the International Division, were present at the meeting. Deng Hui, President of JUFE, and Yuan Honglin, Vice President of JUFE, also attended. Thedeans from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of Computing Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Griffith Digital Intelligence participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Gong Meijun, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange(OICE).

In his address, Deng Hui reviewed the progress of cooperative education between the two universities, affirmed the phased achievements in the development of the Griffith Digital IntelligenceSchool and put forward expectations for the high-quality development of the School in the future.

The meeting reviewed and approved the list of new members of the Joint Management Committee. Representatives from Griffith University reported to the Committee on the plans for teacher deployment and teaching arrangements. Representatives of the Griffith Digital IntelligenceSchool delivered a work report, presenting the school’s operations over the past year and plan for the next phase. The meeting also examined and approved the 2026 talent training programme of the Griffith School of Digital Intelligence and the statement on the change of Chinese and foreign degree titles. Participants held in-depth talks on relevant matters.

Prior to the meeting, theOICE organized a preparatory meeting between relevant staff fromthe Griffith Digital Intelligence Schooltoholdapreparatory meetingwith theGU side.The participants discussed details of the supplementary agreement and curriculum alignment, laying a solid foundation for the convening of this Joint Management Committee meeting.
