Over 30 government officials from 11 countries flew a long way to participate in this event. The seminar lasted for 21 days from May 19 to June 9. The theme of the Seminar was promoting academic exchange and cooperation among officials from developing countries on the topics of fiscal and economic administration. JUFE selects top teachers and opens tailor-made courses in line with the theme of the seminar, meeting the expectations from the Ministry of Commerce.

Li stressed that top authorities attach great importance to friendship between developing and developed countries. By this chance, he hoped that compatibility of bilateral economies strengthened and the prospect of cooperation expanded. At the end of his speech, he invited all delegates to invest and start a business in Jiangxi province.

During 21 days, the seminar will address the topics of macro-economy, fiscal policies, currency policies, fiscal relationship between governments, overseas investments of Chinese enterprises, risk management as well as China’s development of industry and economy. Since 2008, the School of International Trade and Economics has held nine consecutive training programs under the patronage of the Ministry of Commerce, including the Seminar on Financial Opening and Risk Management, the Seminar on Fiscal Administration and Economic Development and the Seminar for High School Teachers from African English-speaking Countries. The work has been appreciated by both the Ministry of Commerce and the attending government officials alike — with more than 230 foreign government officials of all levels.
