The opening ceremony of the 33rd Sports Games was held at Jiaoqiao, Athletic Field on Oct. 17th , 2013. President Wang Qiao, Vice chairman of the board Wang Jinhua, Vice President Yi Xiaoming, Jiang Jinfa, Yi Jiandong, Deng Hui and other university leaders together with the athletes and referees attended the ceremony.
On behalf of the university, Vice President Deng Hui delivered opening speech expressing his warmest congratulations to this great event and his sincere thanks to all the participants and those who have made it happen. Then Mr. Zhang Zhuolin and Mr. Ye Bi swore to make the competitions impartial and fair on behalf of all referees and athletes respectively. The most exciting moment was the announcement of this great event starting made by Mr. Wang Qiao，the President.
