Vice President Jiang Jinfa Met with Delegation from Coventry University, Britain

Vice President Jiang Jinfa met with the delegation from Coventry University, Britain on Oct. 8th. The delegation included Prof. Simon Chadwick � Professor in Sport Management and Marketing, Neville Clements, Head of Sports and Event Management, Christos Anagnostopoulos � Lecturer, Sport & Event Management Department (SEM), Adrian Pritchard � Senior Lecturer in Marketing, Richard Oddy � Lecturer in Event Management, Terry Brathwaite � Senior Lecturer in HRM & Programme Manager, Mrs Dawn Brathwaite, Casper Hitchins � Funding Manager and Julie Horbury � Project Officer. The visit is part of Coventry University’s planned activities on the EU funded IRSES project: FP7-PEOPLE-2011-IRSES (295244) � Sport across international boundaries: building knowledge through shared understanding.

In year 2011, under the instruction of Vice President Prof. Yi Jiandong, the International Sports Industry Research Institute, jointed with Coventry University and Université Paris 11, successfully applied the EU funded IRSES project: FP7-PEOPLE-2011-IRSES (295244) � Sport across international boundaries: building knowledge through shared understanding. This project is JUFE’s first research project approved by EU and is a major academic achievement that the School of Physical Education has made.
VP Jiang Jinfa highly appreciated the cooperation between JUFE and the British and French universities. He hoped that the project cooperation would produce high-level research results. He also hoped that the universities could extend their cooperation into more disciplines. Prof. Neville expressed that the SEM of Coventry University would try to develop more academic activities with the School of Physical Education of JUFE. He said that he was looking forward to the joint research on "2012 China Open tennis tournament and the Jiangxi Olympic Center Stadium Facilities"
