Steve O. Michael, Provost, Vice-president of Arcadia University visited JUFE

On November 10, 2012, Mr. Steve O. Michael, Provost, Vice-president for academic affairs, Professor of Higher Education Management, from Arcadia University (AU)--one of our very important partners in the US, paid an official visit to Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE). He has been welcomed and met by Dr. Cai Shenggui, director of the Office of International Cooperation and Economics, on behalf of JUFE.
At the meeting, Mr. Cai expressed his appreciations for his visit and many thanks for his support on the mutual understanding and current cooperation. The following points have been discussed and finalized for implementation.
First program dealt with is the 2+2 dual degree program, which we have run for more than ten years and got very popular among our students. The second one is 3+2 degree program, which is quite new for our students and hopefully it could turn out to be attractive to our students in the coming years.
The last, but not the least, is the exchange program between AU and JUFE, which provides chance for AU students to study one semester or one academic year on JUFE campuses, where they could take some specialized courses according to their majors, some Chinese language and cultural courses at the same time. For exchange, JUFE organizes a group of students to attend lectures and cultural activities for at least one week in AU campus.
His visit has greatly facilitated the development of mutual collaboration in terms academic programs, especially his presentation on the encouragement on student nobilities delivered in the afternoon to some of our students who are interested in the programs. They also enhanced the personal relation as well as friendship between our two universities.
