1. Introduction

Basic Information:

Professor Zhang Weidong earned his doctorate in Management from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Business Administration (direction of financial management) at the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University from 2006 to 2008.

 He is currently a professor (second-grade), doctoral supervisor, dean of the School of Accounting, director of MPAcc Education Center, and an expert with the special government allowances of the State Council. In addition, he is an expert consultant in management of the Ministry of Finance, a candidate of the Jiangxi Talents 555 Project, a candidate of the New Century Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project in Jiangxi Province, a famous teacher of higher education institutions in Jiangxi province, a young and middle-aged academic leader of Jiangxi province, an excellent educator in Jiangxi province, a member of the Legal Aid Committee of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the executive director of China Business Accounting Association, and the executive director of Jiangxi Province Certified Public Accountants Association.

In recent years, Professor Zhang has conducted in-depth research on tracking corporate governance and equity refinancing of listed companies and has formed a distinctive research direction. His research on directed issuance of new shares of listed companies is at the leading level of domestic research in this field. He has published five monographs and more than 60 papers in important journals such as Xinhua Digest, Management World, and Accounting Research, and hosted two projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, one project of the National Social Science Foundation and 15 provincial and ministerial projects. In addition, he has received six second prizes of social science outstanding achievement in Jiangxi province and won the honorary title of Top Ten Excellent Researchers of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in 2009 and 2018.
