On March 29, the 4th Nanchang "Tengwang Pavilion Melody" Music Competition, jointly organized by the Nanchang Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism, and hosted by the Nanchang Musicians Association, successfully concluded. The faculty and student team from the Department of Music at the School of Art won one first prize, two third prizes, and five honorable mentions, spanning the categories of bel canto, ethnic vocal music, and instrumental music, bringing further honor to the university.

The "Tengwang Pavilion Melody" series competition is a key music and cultural brand developed by Nanchang City, aiming to discover outstanding musical talents and promote the flourishing development of local music. This year's event attracted over 1,300 participants, adopting a dual-track scoring system combining blind auditions and live performances. Through three rigorous rounds—preliminary video screenings, live semifinals, and a final showdown—the winners in each category were ultimately determined. The entire competition was livestreamed simultaneously on Nanchang TV and Douyin (TikTok China), accumulating over 2 million views and becoming a widely celebrated cultural event.

The School of Art has consistently adhered to the philosophy of "enhancing learning and teaching through competition", actively organizing faculty and students to participate in high-level professional contests. Through systematic curriculum design, guidance from renowned instructors, and the establishment of practical platforms, the school has cultivated a group of music talents who excel in both theoretical knowledge and stage performance. In recent years, they have achieved numerous accolades in both domestic and international music competitions.
