On February 20, Vice President Fang Yuming gave the first lecture of the "AI" to students in the Honors Experimental Class. During the lecture, Fang Yuming and the students discussed the profound impact of artificial intelligence on society, reviewed the development history of AI, and looked forward to its future possibilities. The students showed great enthusiasm for learning, expressed high expectations for the future of AI, and actively reflected on both the positive and negative aspects of it.
This semester, the "AI" course will be offered to students in the Honors Experimental Class of Computer Science and Technology and the Honors Base Class of Economics. It is expected to be fully promoted to the entire university next semester. The teaching team consists of more than 20 teachers from various units, including the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, the School of Digital Economics, and the School of VR. These teachers have rich experience in teaching and cutting-edge AI research, ensuring the course content remains at the forefront of the field.
This course is led by the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence. According to our characteristics of finance and economics, the teaching team has made thorough preparations in the early stages, carefully refining teaching themes, organizing course content, and designing practical projects. Based on the theory and tools of AI, the course combined with interdisciplinary knowledge is highly forward-looking and practical. The overall guiding principle is "based on the forefront, understanding the principles, proficient in use, and recognizing the limitations." It aims to help students understand the basic principles of AI, master relevant tools, and apply them in their work and daily lives, enhancing their "digital intelligence" level and improving their competitiveness in the face of AI challenges.
