JUFE Leadership Joins Jiangxi Education Delegation and Visited USA and Canada

From May 11 to 19, to further promote international cooperation and exchange in education for our province. JUFE Vice President Que Shandong joined the Jiangxi Delegation launcheby Jiangxi Education Department in a visit to the United States and Canada. The visit included meetings with universities, company visits, and project negotiations, focusing on talent cultivation, research collaboration, and faculty training.The goal was to advance the internationalization of our university and deepen exchanges and cooperation with universities in the USA and Canada.

 


During the visit to the United States, Que Shandong and the delegation visited several institutions including the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, the Los Angeles Board of Education, Utah State Board of Education, Brigham Young University, and William Jessup University. They also met with alumni working and studying in the USA, shared updates about the university's recent developments, and expressed sincere gratitude for the alumni's continued support for their alma mater. Multiple agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed with overseas institutions focusing on talent cultivation, research collaboration, and faculty training.


 


The delegation also visited the Chinese Consulates in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and held discussions with the Los Angeles Board of Education and the Utah State Board of Education, reaching consensus on strengthening youth exchange and promoting inter-university cooperation.



During their time in Canada, Que Shandong and the delegation visited the Chinese Consulate in Vancouver, Royal Roads University, the Chinese Consulate in Vancouver again, and the University of British Columbia. They reached preliminary consensus with Royal Roads University on promoting faculty exchanges, joint talent cultivation, and co-hosting international academic conferences, and signed a memorandum of understanding for inter-university cooperation.



This visit further strengthened JUFEs academic ties with the aforementioned universities, effectively united and harnessed the resources of alumni in the USA, and successfully completed the tasks related to Jiangxi Province's educational opening-up. It also promoted JUFE's cooperative exchanges with universities in the USA and Canada.
