The Closing Ceremony of 2022 Seminar on Financial and Economic Management for Developing Countries Held

On the afternoon of July 21, the online closing ceremony of 2022 Seminar on Financial and Economic Management for Developing Countries organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, and Jiangxi College of Foreign Studies, was successfully held. Que Shandong,Vice President of JUFE and Huang Xueqin, official of Department of Commerce of Jiangxi Province attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Gong Meijun, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchangestaff of the School of International Trade and Economics, and 47 students from 18 countries including Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, and Kenya and chaired by Wu Zhaoyang, Dean of the School of International Trade and Economics.

On behalf of JUFE, Que Shandong congratulated the students who successfully completed their studies. He pointed out that this seminar aims to enable students to understand the reform of China's economic system, China's fiscal and taxation policy system, the development of China's digital economy, China's business environment, the Strategy of China’s opening up, and etc. In addition, this seminar had strengthened students' understanding of Chinese culture and Chinese national conditions. He said that during the 21-day seminar, all participants exchanged ideas and bonded with each other. Also, he expressed hopes that the students could contribute to the financial and economic policy formulation and reform in their home countries, and serve as a bridge for communication and cooperation with China!

Huang Xueqin, on behalf of the Department of Commerce of Jiangxi Province, extended warm congratulations to all the participates who overcame the difficulties and challenges brought about by the pandemic and time zone differences and successfully completed their studies. She pointed out that the seminar was a great practice of multilateral friendly cooperation and common development, which brought China closer to the people of other developing countries and laid a good foundation for our further cooperation. She also sincerely hoped that all students had enjoyed this time and forward the good wishes from the Chinese people.

Chehold Ezzat, student representative of the seminar, made a speech. He sincerely thanked the Ministry of Commerce for providing valuable learning opportunities and the support of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and expressed that the seminar indeed benefited him a lot. He said that in the future, he would apply the valuable experience gained from this study, especially the knowledge in financial and economic policies and economic development, to his work field.

Que Shandong and Huang Xueqin presented the graduation certificate to the  students. Also, in view of the epidemic situation overseas, the School prepared protective suits, surgical face masks, medical gloves and etc. for the students of this seminar as commemorative gifts in advance

The seminar aims to enhance the comprehensive understanding of financial policies by government officials in the field of financial management in developing countries, further strengthen exchanges and cooperation among developing countries in the fields of culture, economy and trade, improve global economic governance, and jointly promote the stable, healthy and sustainable development of economies in all countries.
