Recently, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange (OICE) brought glad tidings: our “Rural Revitalization Talent International Joint Training Project” was approved as the first batch of non-agricultural universities to receive special funding from the China Scholarship Council (CSC) in 2021.

The successful application for this project cannot be separated from the coordination of OICE and the concerted efforts of the School of Humanities, Statistics, and Economics, who take full advantage of their research results regarding agriculture and rural areas, extensive experience in talent training, and fruitful results of international cooperation and exchanges. During the interview and defense stage, impressive performance of JUFE vice president Liu Xiaoli and the project leader, Professor Jiang Guohe won the approval from CSC!

It is reported that the CSC agricultural-related projects are open to non-agricultural universities for the first time this year. The funding period for the approved projects is three years, namely 2022-2024, during which JUFE can select teachers and students to study in partner universities in Japan and South Korea.
