The Opening Ceremony of the 2021 Freshmen Held

​On the afternoon of September 30th, the opening ceremony of the 2021 freshmen were held in the track field of the Mailu Campus.

JUFE Chairman Prof. Lu Fucai, President Prof. Deng Hui and other board members, Chief Digital Strategy Officer of China Mobile Communications Federation and our alumnus, Mr. Du Zhengping attended the event. Also present are the heads of various departments, the deans of the schools, the head teachers of the 2021 freshmen and all the freshmen. The event was simultaneously broadcast live online, and more than 300,000 people watched it.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Lu Fucai. On behalf of JUFE, Lu Fucai extended a warm welcome and heartfelt congratulations to the more than 9,000 new students who joined the JUFE family. He also expressed hopes that the newly-arrived members could practice the JUFE spirit of Honesty, Vitality, Integrity and Tenacity, understand the true meaning of innovation and entrepreneurship, live up to the ambition of serving the country, and compose a new gorgeous chapter of life!

President Deng Hui made a speech and expressed hopes that the students will make great ambitions, seek great dignity, show great virtue, encourages them to keep the great righteousness, preserve great love; break away from the old self, explore the new self, be determined to pursue the big self, and achieve the greater glory of JUFE!

The board members of JUFE and the honored guest put on the university badges for the 2021 freshmen representatives.

Du Zhengping, alumni representative, expressed hopes that freshmen could work hard, exercise their learning ability, stick to their future direction, and through their continuous efforts, speed up their learning, broaden the scope of learning. Everything is accelerating in the digital age, and a person will experience 2-3 industrial waves in his or her life.

Teacher representative Li Hongyi expressed sincere hopes that freshmen could devote themselves to the new learning as soon as possible, embrace reality with a high-spirited attitude, and start a new life; abandon bad habits, encourage each other, help each other,and make progress together.

New student representative Xu Ziyu said in his speech that as a new youth in the new era, he should make aspiration achieved eminence, be down-to-earth, and be vigorous at all times.

On behalf of the international students, Mo Xi expressed his gratitude to JUFE, and shared hopes that through the window of JUFE, he would have a deeper understanding of China, tell more people the true story of China, and contribute to the cause of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
