Scholars Gathered at Jinggangshan to Discuss New Development Concepts and Social Modernization with Chinese Characteristics

From July 3 to 4, co-sponsored by the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE), co-organized by the Institute of Social Development Strategy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Jiangxi Academy of Social Sciences, and undertaken by the School of Humanities of JUFE, an academic seminar themed New Development Concepts and Social Modernization with Chinese Characteristics was held at Jinggangshan, which was attended by more than 100 representatives of scholars and graduates from universities and research institutions including Peking University, Nankai University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Jilin University, Shanghai University, East China Normal University, China Agricultural University, East China University of Science and Technology, Yunnan University, Jiangxi Academy of Social Sciences, China Jinggangshan Cadre College, and Jiangxi Provincial Party School.

JUFE President, Professor Deng Hui, Researcher Li Peilin, member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Researcher Chen Guangjin, president of the Chinese Sociological Society and director of the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences as well as Professor Jiang Jinfa, president of the Jiangxi Academy of Social Sciences delivered speeches successively. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Yin Zhonghai, dean of the School of Humanities at JUFE.
