Professor from City University of Hong Kong Lectured Online for the School of Statistics

On May 12th, Professor Lian Heng from the Department of Mathematics, City University of Hong Kong was invited to give an online lecture entitled Distributed Learning for Sketched Kernel Regression for the School of Statistics of JUFE, which was presided over by Professor Liu Xiaohui, the deputy dean of the School and attended by teachers and postgraduates of the School.

Lian Heng worked successively at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and the University of New South Wales in Australia, and has published nearly 200 papers in top international journals including Journal of the American Statistical Association, Annals of Statistics, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series B, Journal of Machine Learning Research, IEEE Trans, Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, and Econometric Theory. Currently, he is serving as an editorial board member of Statistics and Its Interface and Journal of the Korean Statistical Society.
