JUFE Held the 8th Annual Conference on Management Academic Journals and Management Innovation Seminar

​On May 1st, the 8th Annual Conference on Management Academic Journals and Management Innovation Seminar which sponsored by the Journal Working Committee of the Chinese Academy of Management and organized by the School of Business Administration of JUFE was held in Nanchang. Editors from more than 30 journals gathered in Nanchang to discuss the strategic positioning of financial journals, international cooperation in publishing, and management innovation.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Lu Fucai, chairman of JUFE, briefed the conference on JUFE’s basic information and the achievements in research bases, academic teams and academic journals in recent years, along with citing the speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping in the Symposium on Philosophy and Social Sciences. The speech pointed out that academic journals, as an important platform for academic dissemination and exchange, play an irreplaceable role in the construction of the three major systems of philosophy and social sciences. Lu expressed his gratitude to the senior editors, experts, and scholars who have been supporting the development of JUFE for a long time, hoping to work with them to provide more suggestions for the innovative development of China's management and financial journals.

Professor Li Weian, co-chairman of the Chinese Academy of Management, garnered his thanks to the organizers for their strong support. He gave a brief introduction to the background and history of the Chinese Academy of Management stating that Chinese management journals have ushered in a golden opportunity for development. Under the premise of following a proper strategic positioning, it is necessary to strengthen the connections among Chinese management academic journals and between journals and scholars. Based on the development trend and features of China’s management, we should form the management system with Chinese characteristics.

Cheng Xinsheng, secretary-general of the Journal Working Committee of the Chinese Academy of Management and editor-in-chief of Nankai Management Review, expressed his gratitude to the guests. He reviewed the history of the Academy and indicated that through the joint efforts of the management journals community, the quality, editing level and management research ability of Chinese management journals have been greatly improved. On behalf of the sponsor, Cheng expressed his best wishes for the successful convening of the conference.

Professor Hu Haibo, dean of the School of Business Administration, chaired the keynote speeches and Professor Cai Wenzhu, associate dean of the School of Business Administration, hosted the opening ceremony. Li Wei'an, Li Zhijun, Huo Baofeng, and Zhou Xinyue respectively delivered keynote speeches titled Formation and Development of the Emerging Discipline of Corporate Governance, Write Research Papers Based on China’s Reality, New Era, New Business, and Emotional Disturbance during the COVID-19 Pandemic Phase.

As the main exchange platform for management research results, the first Annual Conference on Chinese Management Academic Journals was initiated by the editorial department of Nankai Management Review in September 2013. The conference has now become one of the most influential academic annual conferences in China's management circles.
