JUFE Drew Blueprint for Internationalization

​On the afternoon of April 1st, JUFE held the 2021 Work Conference on Internationalization, which was chaired by Vice President Liu Xiaoli. The conference was attended by Chairman Lu Fucai, President Deng Hui, Vice Chairman Zhu Xiaoli, and Vice Presidents Yuan Honglin and Li Chungen.

Lu Fucai Awarded Three Schools of JUFE as Advanced Unit.

Deng Hui gave a speech on recognizing the situation, seizing opportunities, and making every effort to create a new situation in internationalization. He pointed out that what JUFE had achieved in the 13^th Five-Year Plan period will serve as a solid foundation for JUFE to open up new horizons. In order to kick off a good start of the “14^th Five-Year Plan period, Professor Deng Hui made a 4-point-proposal regarding internationalization: first, we must dig into new situations and tasks of internationalization. The “14^th Five-Year Plan period remains to be a strategic period, as the opportunities outweigh the challenges in the next five years. Second is to seize new opportunities with open minds and innovative and pioneering spirits. Catalyzed by the “Going Global” of higher education, We must forge overseas collaborative programs with countries along the “Belt and Road”. Third, it is imperative to build consensus and strengthen the sense of responsibility for international endeavors. We must abandon the idea of doing nothing while reaping the rewards of others. All the departments, schools and international officers must be full motivated to come up with solutions and take swift actions to upgrade JUFE’s internationalization. Fourth, action speaks louder than voice in internationalization. JUFE must have an international vision and implement a high level of international cooperation and exchanges that cover wider range, broader fields. All JUFE members should stick to the international scheme of JUFE and pursue a greater internationalization with strong desires, determined minds, and concrete actions.

Xiao Long and Liu Xiaobing, directors of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, made a report on JUFE’s internationalization and an interpretation of relevant policies and documents respectively. Ye Weihua, dean of the Overseas Education School, delivered a speech on international students studying in China. The heads of the International School, School of Business Administration, School of International Economics and Trade, School of Information Management, School of Software and Internet of Things Engineering shared the distinctive features of their internationalization.
